About the Position:

The Fresh Market currently has an opening for a Local Store Marketing Coordinator in our Store Support Center (099). This position is designed to help strengthen The Fresh Market brand among each store’s guests and in its local community through innovative marketing and community relations initiatives. The position supports all stores, Store Support Center departments, and charitable giving programs supported by the Store Support Center.

This role will report to the Local Store Marketing Manager.

What You'll Do:

  • Assists Local Store Marketing Manager with planning and on the ground implementation of grand opening activities for new stores.
  • Supports local marketing initiatives in competitive blunting and new market stores.
  • Drives promotion of existing in-store event programs using in-store signage and promotional flyers, in addition to using the internal resources of digital marketing, PR, and social media.
  • Supports new in-store programs to build The Fresh Market brand and drive traffic to the stores for enhanced guest experiences.
  • Analyzes and guides stores to responsibly utilize their store quarterly community relations budget to maximize community presence, including donation requests, partnerships, and sponsorships.
  • Reviews store requests for local advertising, marketing, and sponsorship opportunities; if approved, assists with development of custom creative work and marketing materials.
  • Supports corporate-wide cause marketing programs primarily benefiting our mission partner, Feeding America®; works with Feeding America corporate partners on food bank problem resolution between stores and local food banks.

Qualifications:

At a minimum, what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience working in a marketing or creative agency with an understanding of the creative and production processes.
  • Candidate must have organizational, analytical and technology skills with the ability to see projects through to completion.
  • Self-motivated with ability and initiative to learn new technology and find solutions for business challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals in creative, technical, and business roles.
  • Flexible with the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to learn by doing, thus finding opportunities to teach others.
  • Ability to effectively provide, accept, and apply feedback.
  • Local travel and an ability to lift-up to 40 pounds.
  • Experience with WorkFront and Widen platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in retail or food industry.
